Ian Ledgard AFIAP, LRPS, AWPF, PPSA
Ian Ledgard lives in the Towy Valley where he gains great inspiration for his life long hobby of photography.
Over 50 years of picture taking he has moved from Box Brownie through twin lens reflex cameras and on to 35mm film cameras. Now all his work is captured digitally using Canon DSLR equipment. Images are processed using mainly Adobe Photoshop software and printed on Epson Photo printers.
He is a competitive photographer and an active exhibitor in International Salons where he has accumulated more than one thousand acceptances along with a number of Medals and awards from Salons in 30 countries worldwide. His success has been acknowleded by both FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) and the Photographic Society of America with awards of AFIAP and PPSA respectively.He is also a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and an Associate of the Welsh Photographic Federation.
Ian makes images for himself and regards it as a bonus if they are appreciated by others. He has held exhibitions locally in Newton House, Llandeilo and had work included in exhibitions shown by members ofTowy Valley Camera Club of which he is currently secretary.
