Bake-stone Cookery - traditional recipes from the country kitchens of Wales.
In Welsh the bake-stone or griddle has many names - planc, maen, llechfaen, gradell - and is traditionally used to make our world famous Welsh Cakes.
Bobby Freeman ran the first (back in the 60s) Welsh restaurant in Wales specialising in the traditional dishes. Since then she has researched and written about Welsh food. She originally produced and published these little books herself, but has now handed them over to Y Lolfa after adding two more titles to the earlier series.
